HC Deb 25 March 1994 vol 240 cc436-9W
Mr. Prescott

To ask the Secretary of State for Employment if he will publish tables showing the average hourly rate, excluding overtime, for part-time employees who are(a) male, (b) female, and (c) male and female for each year since 1980 in (i) Durham, (ii) Cleveland, (iii) Tyne and Wear, (iv) Cumbria, and (v) Northumberland.

Mr. Michael Forsyth

The information available from the New Earnings Survey for part-time female employees and part-time adult employees in the counties of Durham, Cleveland, Tyne and Wear, Cumbria, and Northumberland is shown in the following table. There were too few part-time male employees in the New Earnings Survey samples for reliable figures to be produced for them.
