§ Mr. ForthI wrote to my hon. Friend on 18 March to explain that my right hon. Friend is minded to approve the reorganisation of Bensham Manor and St. Nicholas schools proposed by Croydon LEA, subject to the satisfactory resolution of a few remaining issues. My officials wrote to Croydon's director of education on the same day to convey this information. The timing of my right hon. Friend's final decision will depend on the LEA's response to that letter.
