§ Mr. Redmond
To ask the Secretary of State for National Heritage if he will list for the past 12 months how many parliamentary questions he has referred to one of his Department's agencies for answer; and what percentage of parliamentary questions to his Department this represents.

§ Mr. Brooke
In the last 12 months my Department received 832 written questions. Of these, 20 were referred to agency chief executives for reply. This represents just over 2 per cent. of the total.
