§ Mr. Heathcoat-AmoryImmigration is a matter for the Government of St. Helena. On 19 Janaury 1994 the acting governor of St. Helena, exercising the power vested in him by section 10(1) of the Immigration Ordinance 1972, issued an exclusion order against Mrs. Timmreck, a Uruguayan citizen, because he was satisfied that it was not in the public interest that she should enter the island, on which she was not at the time resident.
