To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what proposals she has to ensure that major ex-farm purchasers of milk will be subject to regulation against uncompetitive practices.

After the end of the milk marketing scheme, milk purchasers will be subject to normal competition rules.

The restriction on the powers of the Director General of Fair Trading to make monopoly references of the wholesale of milk will be removed.
