§ Mr. BaldryInspectors approved by the Secretary of State to carry out building control work, and who are employed by NHBC Building Control Services Ltd., carry out a separate function to those involved in the NHBC's role as provider of the Buildmark warranty. The operation of the Buildmark warranty is a matter for the NHBC which is an independent body and the Government have no general powers to intervene in its affairs.
