HC Deb 23 March 1994 vol 240 cc295-6W
Mr. Parry

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement on the situation in Palestine.

Mr. Douglas Hogg

[holding answer 22 March 1994]: Some of the precautionary measures enforced by the Israelis in the occupied territories following the Hebron massacre are still in place, including a curfew in the Hebron area and the closure of the occupied territories. We supported United Nations Security Council Resolution 904 which called for protection of Palestinian civilians in the occupied territories. The resolution also calls for the implementation without delay of the declaration of principles signed last year by Israel and the Palestine Liberation Organisation.
