§ Mr. HeseltineThe figures provided in table A of the Department of Trade and Industry's 1994 report are produced in cash terms, consistent with Treasury guidance. They may be adjusted to reflect constant 1992–93 prices, this being the current basis used for such analysis, by means of the GDP deflators which are shown in table 1.1 of the Statistical Supplement to the Financial Statement and Budget Report 1994–95 (Cm 2519). Table 5B.4 of the Financial Statement and Budget Report 1994–95 shows the DTI's overall expenditure for the period 1988–89 to 1996–97 adjusted in this way.
