To ask the Secretary of State for Wales what was the gross output of electricity produced from wind turbines in Wales in 1993.

Data on the electricity produced in Wales from wind turbines are only available for companies operating under the non-fossil fuel obligation.

According to data obtained from the Non-fossil Purchasing Agency Ltd. in the first nine months of 1993, Welsh wind projects under the non-fossil fuel obligation produced 72.2 GWh of electricity. Output for the final quarter of 1993 is not yet available.
