HC Deb 22 March 1994 vol 240 cc194-5W
Mr. Llwyd

To ask the Secretary of State for Wales if he will make it his policy that the addresses of members of non-departmental public bodies be published.

Mr. Redwood

The town and county of residence of each appointee is given in "Appointments by the Secretary of State for Wales" and the address of each executive non-departmental public body is given in the respective annual reports. These publications are available in the Library of the House.

It would be an invasion of privacy to publish full details of individual appointees' addresses.

Mr. Llwyd

To ask the Secretary of State for Wales if he will make available in public libraries and local government offices in Wales the publication "Public Bodies—Appointments by the Secretary of State for Wales".

Mr. Redwood

The quarterly list of appointments is available in the Library of the House and the Welsh Office, Cathays Park, Cardiff. The Department makes arrange-ments for individuals to consult the Welsh Office library copy on request. The costs of making the publication available in public libraries and local government offices are not justified.
