§ Mr. GoodladWe have encouraged the Indonesians and Portuguese to co-operate with the UN Secretary-General in his efforts to find a comprehensive solution for East Timor in line with the request in UN General Assembly resolution 37/30. We believe that the continuing dialogue between Portugal and Indonesia under the Secretary-General's auspices offers the best prospect for reaching agreement.
