HC Deb 22 March 1994 vol 240 cc183-4W
Mr. Maclennan

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland how many dental practitioners within the Highland health board area have left the national health service over the last 18 months; and how many now restrict dental treatment within the national health service to children.

Mr. Stewart

[holding answer 16 March 1994]: Every general dental practitioner who intends to provide NHS treatment must join a health board dental list. Highland health board advises that 10 general dental practitioners have left its dental list in the past 18 months. The health board is not aware of any general dental practitioners in its area who restrict national health service dental treatment to children only.
