§ Mr. Lennox-BoydThe classifications are those used by the development assistance committee of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development and are defined as follows
Low income country: GNP per capita below $765 in 1991;Lower middle income country: GNP per capita in 1991 of $765 or above but not exceeding $2,556;Upper middle income country: GNP per capita in 1991 of $2,555 or above but not exceeding $7,380;High income country: GNP per capita in 1991 above $7,380
