To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what was the cost of receptions held by Ministers in his Department in 1993–94.

The details of my Department's annual expenditure on running costs are published every year in the annual report. Expenditure on receptions is included within this figure and is less than 0.00002 per cent. of total net expenditure.
