HC Deb 21 March 1994 vol 240 c98W
23. Mr. Gordon Prentice

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport what assessment he has made of the traffic implications for Colne of the decision to link the M65 to the M6.

Mr. Key

None. However, our studies have shown that the opening of the link from the M65 to the M6 could increase traffic on the M65 east of Blackburn by some I I per cent. There could be between 9,000 and 11,000 vehicles per day on the A56 east of Colne in 1997.
