Member for Walsall, North is making written representations to a Minister in his Department on behalf of a constituent he will not be telephoned by a chief immigration officer to try to persuade him to drop the representation.

It is not the practice of the Immigration Service to try to persuade an hon. Member not to pursue his representations.
