§ Sir Wyn RobertsThe Teachers (Compensation for Redundancy and Premature Retirement) Regulations 1989 provide arrangements for the governing bodies of grant-maintained schools to compensate teachers who are prematurely retired. Decisions in respect of sick leave are the responsibility of the governing body as employer of staff at the school.
