§ Mr. Redwood[holding answer 18 March 1994]: The contract to manage the civil service nursery, which was awarded to Acorns Nurseries in September 1993, and the contract to provide holiday playcare, which has been awarded to South Glamorgan county council to run from I April 1994 were both awarded following fair and open competition.
