To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many detainees at Campsfield House have been subjected to forced feeding; under what powers such action is taken; and what safeguards there are for the human rights of those concerned.

No person detained under immigration powers has been force fed at Campsfield House or elsewhere.

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what factors were taken into account in determining the level of security measures installed at Campsfield House detention centre.

The security measures at Campsfield house are designed to allow as much freedom of movement as possible within the centre, but to take account also of the needs to maintain good order and prevent detainees from absconding.
