To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food how many poultry(a) flocks and (b) birds were slaughtered in each year since 1988 and in 1994 to date.

The numbers of poultry flocks and birds compulsorily slaughtered in Great Britain because of salmonella infection each year since the introduction of the policy in March 1989 are set out in the following table.
