§ Ms MowlamTo ask the Secretary of State for National Heritage if he will list, for each of the five bodies chosen by him as channels of distribution for the proceeds of the national lottery(a) the number of staff who will be employed in the lottery unit, (b) the estimated annual salaries bill for these staff and (c) the estimated annual overheads for each lottery unit.
§ Mr. BrookeThe distributing bodies named in section 23 of the National Lottery etc. Act 1993 are currently developing their administrative arrangements for handling applications for lottery funds. It is too early to make estimates of the total number of staff that will be required or the total costs involved.
