§ Miss Widdecombe[holding answer 17 March 1994]: The figures are not available for Caxton house. The following figures are for staff in all the Department's London headquarters buildings: 1,313 at 1 January 1994, of whom 662 were women. The comparable figures for 1 January 1990 were 1,337 and 667 respectively.
