§ Mr. RedmondTo ask the Secretary of State for Health how many people have been deregistered by their dentists in each regional health authority area in England and Wales during each of the last four years; and how many dentists in each of the regional health authority areas have been involved in the deregistration.
§ Dr. MawhinneyThe information requested, which has been collected centrally for England since 3 July 1992, is shown in the table. Over the period July 1992 to December 1993 there was a net increase of over 600,000 patients registered with dentists and 264 dentists in contract with family health services authorities.
