§ Mr. RedmondTo ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food to what extent delays have occurred in payment of arable aid to farmers in(a) south Yorkshire, (b) north Yorkshire, (c) west Yorkshire and (d) Humberside who are growers of commercial oilseed rape; from what office the cheques are being paid; and whether all payments due to be met by 31 December have been paid.
§ Mr. JackOver 98 per cent. of all payments due to growers of commercial oilseed rape were issued by 31 December 1993. In a very small number of cases payments could not be made for a number of reasons. Payments are authorised by the regional service centre at Northallerton and payable orders are issued from the Ministry's finance department at Guildford.
