To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what is the current situation regarding human rights in Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka's human rights record continues to improve. The Sri Lankan Government committed themselves to a further programme of reform on 7 March at the United Nations Commission on Human Rights in Geneva.
