Mr. Austin Mitchell

To ask the President of the Board of Trade, pursuant to his answer of 16 February,Official Report, columns 829–30, by how much United Kingdom output has fallen since the United Kingdom joined the EEC; and what have been the corresponding percentage changes since 1973 in Germany, France, Italy, Belgium and Spain.

Changes in output between 1973 and 1983, as measured by the number of cars produced, were as follows:
