To ask the Secretary of State for Health how many children have been born with missing or defective limbs in(a) the Trent regional health authority and (b) the Yorkshire regional health authority in each year for the last 10 years.

Note:

Prior to 1990 all malformations, however minor, were reportable to OPCS. In January 1990 an exclusion list was introduced. As a result, minor malformations of the toe, coded to ICD 755.6 were no longer notifiable.
