§ Dr. MawhinneyIn January 1993, the national health service management executive issued guidance, HSG(93)5, to NHS trusts and health authorities about standards of business conduct for NHS staff, copies of which are available in the Library.
In addition, from 1 April 1994 the boards of all NHS bodies will be required to comply with a new code of conduct which will ensure that public service values continue to underpin all decision-making at board level.
