What is the membership of his Working Group on Sittings of the House; and what are the terms of reference.
§ The Lord Privy Seal (Lord Wakeham)I am pleased to say that Lord Rippon of Hexham has agreed to chair the working group. The other members of the group will be Lord Cledwyn of Penrhos, Lord Weatherill, Lord Tordoff and Lady Elles.
The terms of reference of the Working Group will be: "To consider the practices and procedures of the House in so far as they affect the sittings of the House." I have asked the group to take a broad brush approach to these issues, and I hope they will be able to report back to me during the summer. The group will not be expected to consider detailed questions of procedure which might appropriately be referred to the Procedure Committee.
