§ Sir Wyn RobertsThere have been three prosecutions taken under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 in Wales since 1982 for carrying out a potentially damaging operation. One, in 1985, was unsuccessful; the other two, in 1990 and 1991, were successful. There have been no prosecutions taken under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 in Wales since 1982 for contravening a nature conservation order under section 29.
§ Mr. MorleyTo ask the Secretary of State for Wales how many outstanding management agreements for Countryside Council for Wales for sites of special scientific interest protection there have been in 1993–94; what is the estimate of their cost; and if he will make a statement.
§ Sir Wyn RobertsAt 28 February 1994 there were 424 management agreements in force on SSSIs in Wales at a total cost of £1,113,227 in 1993–94 up to that date.
