§ Mr. NewtonThe arrangements for parliamentary scrutiny of EC legislation are kept under continuing review and were the subject of examination by the Select Committee on Procedure in 1989 and 1991; in general they work well. Problems at the end of last year with the late arrival of certain Community documents are being investigated.
