§ Mr. BrookeGrants under section 17 and 24 of the Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Areas Act 1979 are made by English Heritage out of its grant in aid and were as follows:

The figures shown for section 24 grants for 1991–92 and 1992–93 therefore relate to offer levels rather than actual expenditure in those years and are the best available.
