§ Mr. Charles WardleAn investigation was carried out in 1992 by the Metropolitan police, in accordance with the procedures for handling police complaints contained in part IX of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984. A report was submitted to the Police Complaints Authority which concluded that the allegation of improper disclosure of information by police officers could not be substantiated. No officer has therefore faced any disciplinary proceedings in relation to the case.
