To ask the Secretary of State for Employment if he will produce a table showing entitlement to paid annual leave in each EU country.

A table showing statutory annual leave entitlement and public holidays in all EU countries was published in an article in the September 1993 edition ofEmployment Gazette—"Working time and holidays in the EC: how the UK compares".

The article also presents "Labour Force Survey" results on paid annual leave entitlement actually received in practice by United Kingdom employees. Fully representative, comparable, data on actual paid annual leave entitlement in other EU states are not available.
