§ Mr. SackvilleThe AIDS (Control) Act reports serve a useful function in indicating trends in the spread of infection, the development of services and resources employed locally. The information collected assists in establishing whether policy priorities are being addressed. Reports are scrutinised by the Department and if gaps are revealed in any area of activity, this information together with any available research findings is used to inform the guidance issued annually to health authorities on future purchasing plans.
