§ Mr. AtkinsThe Secretary of State has discussions with the chairmen of water companies from time to time. Alternative methods of charging to replace rateable values are sometimes discussed. It is for each company to decide on an appropriate basis for charging, but metering, which relates charges to consumption, has many advantages.
