§ Mr. Michael ForsythI understand from the certification officer, an independent statutory officer, that the numbers collated from the annual returns to him for the following years were as follows:
Numbers 1979 13,212,354 1985 10,818,949 1990 9,810,019 The membership figures for 1993 will be collated from the annual returns submitted to the certification officer during 1994. These will be published in his annual report for 1994, which will be available in April—May 1995.
