§ Mr. Sackville:It is for individual ambulance services to determine the number of ambulances which meet the requirements. Total numbers of vehicles in England and Wales are not available centrally.
I understand that Scotland has 92 accident and emergency ambulances per million population and that Northern Ireland has 80 accident and emergency ambulances per million population.
