To ask the Secretary of State for Education (1) how many students who graduated in(a) 1989, (b) 1990, (c) 1991, (d) 1992 and (e) 1993 are still in debt to the Student Loans Company; and if he will make a statement:

(2) how many students applied for student loans in (a) 1991, (b) 1992 and (c) 1993; and if he will make a statement.
