To ask the Secretary of State for Defence if he will make a statement on the deployment of formed Territorial Army units to the Falklands or other overseas theatres.

My right hon. and learned Friend the Secretary of State for Defence announced on 19 April at column508 our intention to deploy a Territorial Army platoon in support of the Regular Army in the Falkland Islands from July to November this year, and a Territorial Army company as part of the Falkland Islands garrison from March to July next year. We shall consider further
