§ Mr. Gwilym JonesThe excess costs above £30,000 of successful claims arising from clinical negligence are met from a pool, administered by the Welsh Office, which has a present provision of £3,000,000.
Where liability is split between NHS trusts, it is a matter for local determination how the first £30,000 of such a claim is met.
