§ Mr. Gwilym JonesAll 13 general hospitals in Wales have major accident and emergency units with access to a full range of support services. Details of medical cover, which will vary according to local needs, are not held centrally. The general hospitals concerned are:

- Wrexham Maelor—Wrexham
- Bronglais General Hospital—Aberystwyth
- West Wales General Hospital—Carmarthen
- Prince Philip Hospital—Llanelli

- Princess of Wales Hospital—Bridgend
- East Glamorgan General Hospital—Church Village
- Prince Charles Hospital—Merthyr Tydfil
- Cardiff Royal Infirmary—Cardiff
- Royal Gwent Hospital—Newport
- Nevill Hall—Abergavenny
