To ask the Secretary of State for Transport when he intends to publish the Standing Advisory Committee on Trunk Road Assessment report and his response to that report; and if he will place copies of the report in the Library.

I refer my hon. Friend to the responses that I gave to my hon. Friend the Member for Dartford (Mr. Dunn) and the hon. Member for Southwark and Bermondsey (Mr. Hughes) on 20 May 1994,Official Report, columns 596 and 599.

On publication, the report and the Government's response will be placed in the Library.
