Ms Primarolo

To ask the Secretary of State for Health how many notifications and deaths from mouth cancer have been recorded for each of the last five years, by region, age, gender and socio-economic group.

Mr. Sackville

[holding answer 23 May 1994]: Data on cancer registrations for England and Wales and for the regions by site, sex and age are published in the "Cancer Statistics", series MB1. Tables will be placed in the Library which show the number of deaths from mouth cancer—international classification of diseases 140–145—by regional health authority, age, sex and social class.
