§ Mr. NorrisI understand from London Underground Ltd. that it is estimated that some 22,000 jobs will be created by the construction of the Jubilee line extension, about one third of which will be in the London area. LUL has asked its contractors to ensure that local people are made aware of the employment opportunities and that people trained under local construction training schemes are employed where possible. LUL is monitoring the position with its contractors.
