§ Mr. Tim SmithIt is intended to appoint an ombudsman for tenants of registered housing associations in Northern Ireland by the end of the year. This is in line with the commitment contained in "The Citizen's Charter Second Report 1994". The position in Wales is a matter for the Secretary of State for Wales.
