asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether the Iranian daily newspaper Resélat accurately reported the United Kingdom Chargé d'Affaires in Tehran, whom they quoted as saying to Rajaii Khorassani, Secretary-General of the Islamic Consultative Assembly's Human Rights Committee and member of the Majlis' Foreign Policy Commission, that "the English Government condemns the atrocious terrorist acts of the Monafeqin in Mashad and stresses that this group's terrorist record is clear to the English authorities … ", and if not, whether they will issue a press release correcting the misquotation.

The newspaper did not accurately report the Chargé d'Affaires' meeting with Dr. Khorassani. The chargé condemned the Mashad bomb and expressed condolences to the Iranian people. Separetly he repeated that we do not support and have no official contact with the Mujahedin-e Khalq Organisation (MKO).
