asked Her Majesty's Government:

What proposals, if any, they will advance at the ECOFIN meeting on 25th and 26th July for significant economies to be made in the European Commission's Preliminary Draft Budget for 1995.

At the Budget Council on 25th July, the Government will be seeking to make maximum use of the Council's powers under Article 203 of the treaty to establish a draft budget for 1995 consistent with Community legislation and the own resources available to the Community.
