§ Mr. Robin SquireMy right hon. Friend will be studying carefully the recommendations in the Education Select Committee's report, "The disparity in funding between primary and secondary schools", published on 13 July 1994. The Government will make a formal response to the Committee in due course. Meanwhile, I note that the Committee's report addresses local authorities among others. Under present arrangements, they have wide discretion to decide the relative levels of funding of their primary and secondary schools.
