Gardens; what was the cost of the consultation exercise; and what was the cost to public funds of the hearing before the Chairman of Committees in the House of Lords.
§ Mr. Curry[holding answer 14 July 1994]: The cost to the docklands light railway and London Docklands development corporation's consultation exercise set out proposals on stations originally planned for the Lewisharn extension both north and south of the river, was 473W approximately £25,000. This includes the costs of printing and distributing the consultation paper and report. It also includes the costs of seeking additional financial contributions from third parties towards project costs. The cost to the promoters of their represention before the Lord Chairman of Committees was approximately £30,000. I understand that the hearing itself caused no additional cost to public funds except for an estimated £355 for the publication of the chairman's determination on Island Gardens station.
